When Is Your Most Creative Hour?
Everybody has a natural preference for working – a time when they can be most productive, and a time when they can be most creative.
For me personally I find myself to be most creative in the early/mid evening, between 6:30pm and 9:30pm specifically. I’ve had a long hard think about this and I genuinely believe it’s because during these hours I am free to just be creative. I don’t need to respond to emails, check social media notifications, or do any admin work as it’s outside of the 9-5. I can just sit down and let the creative juices flow.
With this free space in my mind, and without the constant distractions of the usual working day, I open myself up to throw out ideas, try new things, and explore new opportunities. I find that at this point in the day I am less worried about what everyone else’s opinion is on what I am doing and I am free in my mind to just experiment. This opens up a world of creative ideas and I can create content that is truly unique and generates results.
I know that a lot of people are most creative early in the mornings after a fresh cup of coffee or during a walk with the dog (my personal search for a Maltipoo continues) and I do understand that but for me, the looming to-do list for the day overshadows my creativity.
